Today, I quietly created this little space in the blogosphere, JaniceHoCreative.com. I had been planning on it for a while, but something in particular struck me today while I was watching some motivational interviews about unleashing one’s creative self.
Over the past few weeks, I have been working on writing a book. While I’ve certainly made many attempts to write a book over my lifetime, I generally never get past the first chapter. The excitement and motivation just seems to fade for whatever reason.
This time though, it has stuck. I have an important story to share and it’s flowing out of me like a river. So, it’s going to happen, finally. Today, I looked at different avenues for crowdfunding, so I can publish it when it’s done.
And then, I said to myself: It’s time to create that website — the one that tells everyone that you are a creative being, and that your life’s purpose is to create and share your creations with others.
Truly though, I know the birth of this blog is really first and foremost about me telling myself this. To put it out there in (digital) print feels as though I’m shouting it from the rooftops — even if no one is listening. I am listening. Listening to something I had been ignoring for a long time.
So, here goes:
I AM A CREATIVE!! I WILL CREATE!! AND I WILL SHARE MY CREATIONS WITH ANYONE WHO IS IN NEED OF RECEIVING THEM!!
